8 — Tai Saeng Chan Pavilion (Moonlight Pavilion) — TSCP

This home is best suited for a single person for short or long stay, or for some­one who needs a base camp while traveling frequently. It contains a kitchenette, a separate private bath­room, and a laundry hut. The room on the lower floor overlooks the big pond and has its own deck and pier. Beauti­ful views from the upper floors to mountains. Small private designed garden along the bank of the pond.

The name of this pavilion was chosen for its ideal place con­templat­ing the moon being re­flected on the water-surface of the adjacent pond.

PLACE: The lower floor slightly above water level bordering the big pond, with view over the pond in eastern direct­ion; upper­most floor (bed­room) with panoramic views over the pond and landscape, and to the mountains in the west.

SIZE OF LIVING AREA: Internal area (roofed and screened) 218 ft² (20 m²), plus ex­ternal sitting area (roofed but not screened) 226 ft² (21 m²), plus private garden area about 120 yd² (100 m²). Living room 15.4 ft × 6.1 ft = 94 ft² (4.7 m × 1.85 m = 8.7 m²); bedroom 10.8 ft × 5.7 ft = 62 ft² (3.3 m × 1.75 m = 5.8 m²); bathroom 8.2 ft × 7.5 ft = 62 ft² (2.5 m × 2.3 m = 5.8 m²); laundry 6.9 ft × 4.6 ft = 32 ft² (2.1 m × 1.4 m = 2.9 m²).

CAPACITY: Designed for a single person (standard occupancy), but space is sufficient for 2 persons (maximal occupancy). For an extra child (short stay) an extra camp bed (2.0 × 6.1 ft = 61 × 186 cm) can be provided.

BUILDINGS: A small concrete/brick bungalow with a wooden 2-storey pavilion or stilt house on top, such com­prising 3 storeys alto­gether, con­nected by a wooden out-door staircase; built in 2006-2008. The bungalow has full day­light, and is with deck and pier attached. The second storey is a verandah with railing around, the third storey com­prises one room sur­rounded by a further verandah with panoramic views. The ceiling of the upper­most room is in­sulated with foil against heat and has open­ings for air circulation. The ground floor bath­room, separate and with brick walls, is an integrated part of the stair­case con­struction. Windows, doors and other open­ings protected by mosquito screens. Laundry hut detached.

ROOMS: The bungalow consists of 1 living-room with kitchen­ette (with re­frigerator, electric 2-ring stove, microwave). The pavilion com­prises 1 bed­room (with wall fan). The bath­room is with hot shower (gas), hand wash basin and Western type toilet.

FURNITURE: Main furniture is a queen-sized bed with mattress (5 × 6.5 ft = 152 × 200 cm), table, chairs. The bungalow in­cludes a small built-in room safe.

GARDEN: The small private garden extends in front of the bungalow along the bank of the big pond. There are shady and sunny areas for re­creation, and a direct access to the big natural swimming pond. The large community garden is for recreation, access­ible by path­ways, and comprises the big natural swimming pond, several smaller ponds and ditches, is covered by tall trees and bamboos and is shady almost through­out.

PARKING: Car parking lot, and roofed motor­bike and bicycle parking lots avail­able. A roofed car parking lot is avail­able on pre-order.

HOUSE INFRASTRUCTURE: Electricity (220 V). Gas tank (33 lb = 15 kg). Tap water (drink­able) with storage tank (185 gal US = 154 gal UK = 700 l) and pump. Inter­net (Wi-Fi, download ≤50 Mb/s, upload ≤10 Mb/s, un­limited, free).

HOUSE FACILITIES: Bed-linen and towels. Cutlery, crockery, glass­ware, hot water kettle, cook­ing utensils are provided on demand. On request, an iron and iron­ing board, radio, hi-fi equip­ment, video player, TV, toaster, coffee machine, blender and other utensils can be provided at extra cost.

OPTIONAL HOUSE FACILITIES AND SERVICES: Drink­ing water supply (in bottles and tanks). Supply of beverages. Room cleaning services. Break­fast (Western or Thai break­fast, fruits of the season).
